VIII-Summer Universiade among the universities of Kazakhstan.
Republican Universiade held in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan every two years. Basketball is a popular sport among students and is always among the top five basketball at the end of the Universiade in the number of teams participating in sport.
 
This year's Universiade basketball takes Eurasian National University (Astana ENU). Among men's teams participating 9 teams of universities of Almaty, Astana, Karaganda, Taraz and Petropavlovsk. Organized by the National Scientific and Practical Center of Physical Education of the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan. Competitions will be held on the playground, Nazarbayev University and will end on June 8.
 
On June 4 there will start the competition among girls.
